Terms of Service — DataUnchain

1. About the Software

DataUnchain ("Software") is an enterprise AI document data extraction engine created and maintained by Antonio Trento ("Author"). The Software is distributed under a Commercial Licence and is designed to run entirely on the user's own hardware.

2. Licence

DataUnchain is released under a Proprietary Commercial Licence. Unless specifically agreed in writing, you are not permitted to copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicence, and/or sell copies of the Software without explicit permission from the Author.

3. No Warranty

The Software is provided "AS IS", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The Author shall not be liable for any claim, damages, or other liability arising from the use of the Software.

4. AI-Generated Content

DataUnchain uses AI vision models (Qwen 3.5 VL via Ollama) to extract data from documents. AI-generated outputs may contain errors. The user is responsible for:

Verifying extracted data before use in business processes
Reviewing documents flagged as NEEDS_REVIEW
Ensuring compliance with applicable regulations for their industry

The Author has no control over the AI model's training data, weights, or outputs. Liability for model accuracy rests with the model provider (Alibaba/Qwen) and the user's deployment configuration.

5. Privacy by Design

DataUnchain is architecturally designed to protect data privacy:

All processing occurs locally on your hardware
No data is transmitted to external servers
No internet connection is required for operation
The Author does not have access to your documents or extracted data

6. Third-Party Components

DataUnchain integrates open-source tools including Ollama, PostgreSQL, and Python libraries. These components are subject to their respective licences. The Author is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or supported by any third-party provider.

7. User Responsibility

The user is solely responsible for:

Proper deployment and configuration of the Software
Ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations
Securing their own infrastructure
Backing up extracted data
